Google review requests

A review request after every job, in your name, without you remembering.

When a job is marked done, the customer gets a text from you with your Google review link. One reminder if they have not clicked, then it stops. Everyone gets the same link, nobody is filtered, and a STOP reply is honoured for good. Running today for LMB Plumbing & Heating, Renovolt Electrical and TLB Plumbing & Heating.

Word for word

Icon

The request, the one reminder, and the review.

LMB Plumbing & Heating’s flow, reconstructed with the customer’s details changed. The review quoted at the end is a real LMB review from Google, word for word.

1

Job marked done

Lloyd taps done in the CRM or the diary slot ends. That is the only trigger. A job that is not finished never gets asked about.

2

The request, from Lloyd

Thanks for the job, here is the Google link. His number, his name, his wording. It reads like him because it is him.

3

Three days, one reminder

If the link is not clicked, one nudge. Polite, short, and it says it is the last one.

4

The review lands

Matched to the job on the customer record, so the monthly report shows requests sent, reviews received, and the trend.

5

A thank you, and the next date

A short thanks, and because the service is yearly, the reminder for next year is already set.

LMB sits at 213 Google reviews at 5.0. The request goes out after every job and nobody is filtered.

The rules

Done the way Google allows, or not at all.

Review gating, asking happy customers publicly and unhappy ones privately, gets profiles suspended. This is built so it cannot happen.

1

Reminder, three days after the request. Then it stops

Same link

Every customer gets the same public link. No filtering by how the job went

STOP

Honoured on every channel, for good, the moment it is received

The setup

Icon

What we do to switch it on.

Under an hour of your time, then it runs.

Your review link

The short Google link that opens the review box straight away, tested on a phone. Most links people paste open the profile instead, and the customer gives up.

Two messages, your words

One for a first-time customer, one for a repeat customer who has already reviewed you, which just says thanks. Both written with you and read by you.

The trigger

Job marked done in the CRM, or the calendar slot ending, whichever you use. Never on a cancelled or unfinished job.

The reminder rule

One reminder at three days if the link has not been clicked. Nothing after that. You can turn the reminder off entirely if you prefer.

Written as marketing

A review request is a marketing message under UK rules, so it is sent to customers only, with STOP on every message, and never to a cold list.

Replies handled

A reply saying thanks gets a thanks back. A reply with a complaint goes straight to you, flagged, before any review is written. That is the moment to ring them.
